Physical Examination

Eyes

  • Should be bright and clear
  • No discharge or crustiness

    • Fur

  • Smooth and clean
  • No bald patches or excessive scratching

    • Movement

  • Active during waking hours
  • No limping or difficulty moving

    • Behavioral Signs

  • Normal eating and drinking
  • Regular wheel running
  • Storing food in cheek pouches

    • When to See a Vet

    Contact a small animal vet if you notice:

  • Wet tail or diarrhea
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Sudden weight loss
  • Lethargy or unusual behavior
